ROADS & EARTHWORKS
Stefanutti Stocks is a leading Southern African road & earthworks contractor that focuses on the construction of a broad range of infrastructure.
Our capabilities within the Roads & Earthworks Discipline span the construction of transport, township, mining and environmental infrastructure including roads, bulk earthworks, landfill sites, decline shafts, terraces for new developments and municipal services.
We also undertake environmental rehabilitation and landfill projects. The large diameter pipelaying capability of the company is also housed within the Roads & Earthworks Discipline
excellence in execution
One of our flagship projects within the Roads & Earthworks Discipline is the recently completed Anglo Platinum’s 3rd phase of the Motolo tailings facility at the Mareesburg Mine. We also completed the first two phases, and this project underlines Stefanutti Stocks’ core competencies in constructing mining related infrastructure and is detailed in our project section below.
The successfully completed Qumza Highway project, a road construction project for the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, bears witness to Stefanutti Stocks’ ability to work closely with communities and local businesses. This contract saw the upgrade of the highway from a single lane dual carriageway to a surfaced dual lane dual carriageway. Our community engagement and ability to work well with SMMEs is also adding great value to the BRT project in Inanda, Durban, where our scope comprises the construction of a 2,7km section of dual carriageway, BRT lanes, stormwater, and sewer reticulation as well as the construction of a three-span dual carriageway bridge.
In 2021 we successfully completed the Rand Water’s C25 and F49 pipeline projects (located in Alberton and Randfontein within the Gauteng province), with each project entailing the replacement of over three kilometres of large diameter steel pipelines.
