Ridgeway Hotel Refurbishment

The Ridgeway Hotel Refurbishment in Lusaka was undertaken by  Stefanutti Stocks Zambia for Southern Sun Hotels. The contract was undertaken between January 2019 and September 2019.

Background: The upgrade project saw one of Zambia’s oldest hotels, first opened in 1953, undergo an elegant makeover in line with Southern Sun’s policy of reinvesting back into their properties.

The Project Scope

The refurbishment included upgrades to the 154 bedrooms (including plumbing reticulation, sanitary ware, tiling, shopfitting, carpeting and painting) and the public corridors on the accommodation floors. During the project the scope of work was extended to include the reception area, stairwells, restaurant, fitness centre, public bathrooms and the business centre including the refurb of six existing meetings rooms and the addition of a 16-person capacity boardroom.
