Kwale Phase 2 – Wet Plant Upgrade Project

Kwale Phase 2 – Wet Plant Upgrade Project in Kwale, Kenya is a premier mining infrastructure project undertaken for Base Titanium Limited by Stefanutti Stocks Mechanical Discipline between February 2017 and April 2018.

Background: This project’s objective was to increase the mining and processing rate of the wet plant by 50%.

The Project Scope

Early involvement in the constructability planning of the Kwale Phase 2 project resulted in synergistic alignment between all parties and disciplines working on the project. To achieve this senior Stefanutti Stocks Mechanical team members were seconded to work at the Base Titanium Limited’s Australian offices.

The Wet Plant Upgrade encompassed the extension of process building as well as the installation of New Gravity Separation Units. It took place during pre-shut and shutdown phases and included the provision of Civils, Supply and Installation of Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Piping and Platework (CSMEIPP) during pre-shut
