MSC New Passenger Terminal

The Durban Cruise Terminal for MSC Cruises is a new port of entry and departure to South Africa, located in the port of Durban.

The project comprises of two key elements, the New Cruise Terminal and the upgrading of the Quay, including new upgraded Bollards suitable for mooring a cruise vessel.

The Terminal Building is a 5000m2 concrete and steel structure incorporating all the necessary components for a port of entry, including Immigration, Police Services, Baggage Handling, Check-In, etc.  As the Terminal will be the first point of contact for passengers embarking on an MSC cruise, it is critically important that the building creates the right impression.  The finishes are of a very high quality with Beech ceilings and polished concrete. The external roof covering is a composite structure supporting Equitone roofing panels, fixed in a set pattern horizontally and vertically which is a first for South Africa
